Calma

Turning 90 square meters into what feels like 150 makes it possible to restructure space. The task was to turn an outdated, spatially separated practice into a warm, inviting place for treatments and medical education. The result is a holistic and new perception of space, which is characterized by open visual references, transparency and a light environment that is unusually warm and differentiated for a doctor's office. Rooms were opened up, furniture mostly integrated into walls and materials used across rooms. The new counter is the central element between the open waiting area and the treatment area. As an elongated bar, this emphasizes the horizontal and thus optically enlarges the room.

All in all, furniture and walls combine to form a spatial unit that is very clear and unambiguous in terms of form and material aesthetics. The room is emotionally charged by floral graphics made of translucent foil cuts, which sometimes run densely, sometimes loosely across the numerous floor-to-ceiling glass partitions and thus play with opacity and perspective in different ways. Strongly colored wall elements support this impression and make the new entrance area dynamic. Above all, the openness and balance of the new rooms now ensure a more relaxed visit to the doctor.
